About Us

Reliance CPR and First Aid provides service to the Metro Atlanta, GA area. We are dedicated to improving the health and safety of all people, whether at home, work, or school. Classes are adapted to the needs of each and every client. All of our classes include American Heart Association Two Year Certification which meets State, Federal, and OSHA Requirements.

Gwen Rayford is the founder and owner of the company. She has over 20 years of combined experience as a Respiratory Therapist, and later as a Physician Assistant, specializing in the areas of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care/Pulmonary Medicine, Transplant Surgery, and Hospital Medicine.

Her desire to teach CPR stemmed from years of her taking care of patients that either died or sustained brain damage after suffering sudden cardiac arrest outside the hospital.

Unfortunately, many of them did not receive bystander CPR which could have resulted in a better outcome. CPR can dramatically improve a person's chance of survival. Anyone can learn CPR and everyone should. Who knows you could end up saving the life of someone you love!
