Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association instructor. The BLS (Basic Life Support) Course is designed for HCP (healthcare professionals) and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Upon completion of all course, participants receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

Ideal for: physicians, dentists, advanced practice practitioners, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, respiratory therapist, in-facility hospital providers.

To enter the course, participants must complete a precourse self-assessment and have active BLS certification card.

ACLS is an advanced course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performance team dynamics.

Course length:  approximately 5 -6 hours and skills session 1 hour

Ideal for: This course is designed for healthcare professionals who direct or manage cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies; personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units; physicians, nurses, and paramedics; and others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
